Job Overview
We are seeking a multi-jurisdictional, team-oriented, detail oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our civil litigation firm. The ideal candidate will support attorneys in various aspects of litigation, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and timely. The right candidate possesses exceptional organizational and communication skills, a pleasant attitude, a good work ethic, possess the ability to work independently and in a team environment, is able to multi-task and is resourceful. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of legal procedures. The Litigation Paralegal will play a crucial role in managing case files, conducting research, and assisting with trial preparation.
Duties
- Assist attorneys in the preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
- Calendaring court, litigation and discovery deadlines and maintaining attorney calendars
- Communicating with the court, counsel, vendors, witnesses and experts
- Preparing legal documents for e-filing in State and Federal courts throughout California, including formatting pleadings, preparing table of contents, authorities, bookmarking and hyperlinking documents
- Perform legal research related to case law, statutes, and regulations pertinent to ongoing cases.
- Preparing and responding to discovery (including written discovery and deposition notices subpoenas and objections)
- Serving and tracking all written discovery and subpoenas propounded and received on the firm’s cases
- Reviewing documents received via discovery, organizing documents, and preparing documents for production and depositions
- Assist in trial preparation by organizing exhibits, preparing trial binders, witness lists and jury instructions
Requirements
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient with State and Federal California Civil Procedure and Motion and Discovery Deadlines and Pleading and Discovery formats.
- Proficient in MS Word, Office, Excel, E-filing Systems, and Outlook.
- Time management and prioritization skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
