What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Paralegal position at LHH?
A regional law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal in their La Jolla office. This is a fully onsite position with a great team, supporting the Labor & Employment and Class Action department with a full range of litigation paralegal tasks from inception to discovery, trial, post-trial, and case closure.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of discovery requests and responses, including form interrogatories, special interrogatories, requests for admission, and requests for the production of documents
- Prepare and track subpoenas for records
- Prepare for depositions and law and motion hearings, including exhibits to be used
- Perform document and deposition reviews and summaries, and prepare document productions
- Provide support for dispositive motions, including exhibits and citations
- Prepare timelines and chronologies
Qualifications:
- Paralegal Certificate required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 3 years of law firm experience preferred
- Proficient using Excel with the ability to perform data entry and review, formatting, formulas, tabs, sorting, etc.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize workload, work effectively under time constraints/deadlines
The compensation range for this position is $85,000-$95,000. Additional benefits include health benefits (medical, dental, and vision), Health Savings Account, Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care, 401(k) match, profit sharing plan, and 16 vacation/sick days to start.
