Job Description
Role Type: W2 Contract to Hire
Term: 6 months, possible extension or conversion to full-time
Work Status: US Citizen or Green Card
Location: Kansas City, MO (Hybrid)
Hourly Pay: $80-$90
What You’ll Do
Burwood is currently looking for candidates to join the project management team at a client in Kansas City, MO. This role will report to the client onsite and will work collaboratively with the client’s cross-functional team members to provide value by managing IT Projects. The Technical Project Manager is responsible for full lifecycle management of key projects and programs within client accounts. You will ensure adherence to industry-wide and Burwood-specific best practices, to ‘best-in-class’ delivery quality, and to proactive management of project profitability. You ‘walk the walk’ for your PMO and Professional Services peers, modeling a relentless commitment to elite, thorough, and intuitive program management and consulting skills.
- Serves as natural and formal leader within active, affiliated client accounts; supports wider account team in definition and execution of overall account strategy.
- Executes program/project management and consulting functions in an expert fashion, driving profitability of Burwood’s IT project portfolio, ensuring top notch quality, and driving client satisfaction within affiliated customer base.
- Serves as a point of client-facing escalation for affiliated customer base; engages as escalation point to resolve delivery/client satisfaction issues.
- Exemplifies ‘fundamental/101’, ‘201’ and ‘301’ delivery standards and best practices.
- Develops a ‘Trusted Advisor’ reputation and relationship with enterprise clients through sound and reliable delivery, proactive and responsive communication, and team-centric leadership.
Qualifications
Who You Are
- You have (8) or more years of project management experience, leading technical infrastructure-based projects
- You are an enthusiastic and team-oriented leader who focuses emphatically on client relationship satisfaction, project team cohesiveness, and high-quality work product.
- You are a driver and can decipher a path forward for others to execute against.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead and advise team members, c-suite leaders, and vendors; you know how to package the ‘right’ information in the right format based on your audience.
- You are confident in your ability to advise, push back on, and connect with C-suite sponsors.
- You are preferably versed in managing work in both Waterfall and Agile delivery frameworks
- You are competent in building presentations, process value mapping, workflow diagrams, and SOWs
