Are you a DBA / EBS Administrator looking for your next contract opportunity? We've teamed up with our Dallas-based client on this 6-month contract requiring 5 years of experience in Oracle RDBMS administration (11g and higher). The DBA / EBS Administrator will be responsible for the administration, management, configuration, and documentation of database systems and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) applications.
CONTRACT PAY : Up to $87 per hour depending on candidate's experience, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
Administer and manage Oracle RDBMS 11g and higher environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
Administer Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Optimize database performance by monitoring, analyzing, and tuning databases, SQL queries, and server configurations.
Administer database security policies, implement security measures, and regularly audit databases for vulnerabilities.
Maintain database user roles, permissions, and access control lists to ensure appropriate access levels.
Develop and maintain shell scripts (Bash), PowerShell scripts, and Ansible configurations to automate routine database and system administration tasks.
Provide timely support for database-related issues, responding to emergency system failures or performance problems.
Participate in an on-call rotation to address critical database issues during off-hours.
Ensure the organization follows Change Management procedures for all database-related changes, including patching, upgrades, and migration efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS :
5 years of experience in Oracle RDBMS administration (11g and higher).
Proven experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12 administration.
Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and higher.
Experience with database backup and recovery procedures.
Expertise in database cloning procedures within Oracle EBS & SQL Server environments.
Proficiency in PL / SQL (Oracle) & TSQL (SQL Server) for scripting & database management tasks.
Experience with administering MS Azure SQL Databases is a plus.
Solid understanding of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Strong experience with shell scripting (Bash), PowerShell (Windows), and Ansible (Linux / Windows).
Familiarity with database security practices, including user access controls, encryption, and data protection.
Strong knowledge of the Change Management process for IT environments.
Certification in Oracle DBA, SQL Server, or other database technologies is a plus.
Experience with cloud database management platforms such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, or similar.
