Overview: We are seeking an experienced Data Conversion Specialist with strong expertise in Oracle CCB, M&A, and utility customer experience. This key role will be responsible for managing and executing the data conversion process, ensuring a seamless and accurate transition of data from legacy systems to new platforms. The ideal candidate will bring a leadership mindset to drive the conversion strategy, combined with the technical proficiency to resolve issues effectively as they arise.
Must-Have Experience:
- Oracle CCB (Customer Care and Billing) experience (essential).
- Experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A).
- Strong background in the utility industry, specifically with customer experience.
- Ability to provide leadership in managing the conversion approach, with technical expertise to resolve issues when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Mapping:
- Analyze and understand data from legacy systems, focusing on data structures, relationships, and dependencies.
- Develop comprehensive data mapping and transformation strategies to ensure successful migration.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to align data requirements with conversion objectives.
- Data Extraction & Transformation:
- Extract and cleanse data from legacy systems, utilizing the appropriate tools and technologies.
- Develop transformation scripts and processes to ensure data is normalized and prepared for migration.
- Ensure data is formatted correctly and aligns with the specifications of the target system.
- Data Migration & Loading:
- Load transformed data into the target systems using industry-standard data migration tools.
- Validate and verify data accuracy and completeness post-migration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any data migration issues promptly.
- Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Lead testing efforts to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data throughout the conversion process.
- Work with QA teams to conduct data validation checks and resolve discrepancies.
- Provide detailed documentation of test results and issues.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of conversion procedures, data mapping, and transformation rules.
- Generate regular progress reports on the status of data conversion, including any challenges or issues encountered.
- Keep project managers and relevant stakeholders informed with timely updates.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with project managers, business analysts, IT teams, and end-users to ensure successful project execution.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and solicit feedback.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers as necessary to support the conversion process.
