Key Responsibilities
Weekly/Biweekly Tasks:
- Record deposits, payments, and journal entries
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed
- Enter payroll and sales data per client requirements
Monthly Duties:
- Reconcile all bank and credit card accounts
- Review and update A/R and A/P reports
- Prepare monthly financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet)
- Review sales tax documentation and file/pay sales or meals tax (as applicable)
- Handle monthly cost allocations and estimated tax payments
Quarterly Responsibilities:
- Reconcile payroll liabilities with quarterly reports
- Prepare quarterly financial statements and other relevant reports
- Process quarterly tax payments for applicable clients
Annual Tasks:
- Prepare 1099s, 1096s, and year-end vendor statements
- Update capital asset records and year-end inventory
- Assist with audit and tax prep by organizing and reconciling records
- Prepare and/or file required property tax and local business license reports
- Review owner loan accounts and other adjusting entries
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience
- Experience using QuickBooks Online
- Solid understanding of general ledger accounting
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data integrity
