The Senior Network Engineer position requires a skilled professional with excellent communication and organization skills. The position will perform high-level network support, design and analysis with strong customer-service based aptitude. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This role requires varied tasks to be carried out by the Senior Network Engineer, which may include:
- Installation, configuration and maintenance:
- Servers
- Switches
- Firewalls
- Endpoints
- Cloud solutions including Office 365
- Virtual Infrastructure
- Backup Solutions
- Anti-virus / Malware protection
- Project planning with clients on larger projects and higher tier support:
- Scope
- Design and analysis
- Estimating
- Assistance with SIPs
- Provide high-level IT support, assistance and troubleshooting, either on-site or through remote desktop platform
- Mentoring others
- Other duties as assigned
CORE COMPETENCIES/REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor degree in information technology or related field is preferred, and a minimum (5) years experience with configuration, installation and troubleshooting of firewalls/routers/switches; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced certifications (Cisco, Microsoft) a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Microsoft OS for servers and workstations.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with e-mail servers, ISP’s, network monitoring tools and TCP/IP protocols.
- Experience configuring Active Directory, GPO’s, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, VPN, ACL’s and firewalls.
- Experience with configuring virtual servers (VMware preferred) and configuring storage area networks to support virtual servers.
- Experience with backup solutions, tape rotation methods, and writing disaster recovery plans.
- Experience with security and anti-virus/anti-malware solutions.
- Microsoft Office knowledge required.
- Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to effectively communicate and document your work.
- Current State issued driver’s license, clean driving record, reliable transportation and proof of valid auto insurance.
WORK ENVIRONMENT DETAILS

Work Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am until 5:00pm, with extra hours as needed to meet deadlines.

Lifting and moving products/boxes up to 50 pounds.

Standing, sitting and walking throughout multiple building floors.
