Position Overview
· We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Architect to join our team at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.
· This role focuses on conducting data investigations and research within the client "Technical Order Repository, with an emphasis on electrical systems data.
· The successful candidate will provide engineering expertise to support the development and updates of the Multiplex Bus Fault Isolator (MBFI) program, a critical support equipment system used to troubleshoot and detect faults within the F-16's multiplex bus communication systems.
· This position requires a strong background in aircraft electronics, software development, and F-16 systems, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment.
Key Responsibilities
Data Research and Analysis:
Engineering Support for MBFI Program:
Technical Documentation and Drawings:
Software Development and Database Management:
Utilize SQL to query, manage, and analyze databases.
Develop and maintain software tools using C and/or C# to enhance the functionality of the MBFI program and other engineering systems.
Apply Agile Software Development methodologies to deliver iterative improvements and updates.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
Support cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements are met on time and within budget.
Engineering Design and Modification:
Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering assignments, including design changes or modifications to aircraft systems, components, and support equipment.
Evaluate proposals for new or modified parts and systems, ensuring compliance with safety, performance, and Minimum Equipment List (MEL) standards.
Required Qualifications
· Technical Expertise:
· Strong understanding of basic aircraft electronics and multiplex bus communication systems (e.g., MIL-STD-1553 and MIL-STD-194).
· Proficiency in SQL for database management and C /C# for software development.
· Familiarity with the Agile Software Development Cycle.
· F-16 Systems Knowledge:
· Ability to read and interpret F-16 fighter aircraft drawings and technical documentation.
· Experience with the F-16 Technical Order Repository and its data structure.
· Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
· Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, troubleshoot issues, and recommend effective solutions.
· Experience evaluating and repairing aircraft systems and components.
· Security Clearance:
· Must possess or be able to obtain a Final Secret Security Clearance.
· Ability to pass a thorough background check to access Hill AFB, a US government facility.
Preferred Qualifications
· Prior experience with the MBFI (Multiplex Bus Fault Isolator) program or similar aircraft support equipment.
· Familiarity with military aviation standards and protocols.
· Experience working in a defense or aerospace engineering environment.

Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
