Job Overview
The Oncology Data Specialist position involves managing and organizing medical data related to oncology treatments and patient care.

Would be open to a Hybrid Role (needs to be onsite 3 days a week) - needs to come to the address above
Job Summary
This position is responsible for coordinating the Registry operations and assists in the Cancer program activities. This includes following ACOS Standards in accessing, abstracting and follow up of the cancer patients. Works closely with the managers, nursing and physicians to maintain accreditation with the American College of Surgeons. Develops and attends Cancer Conference monthly with quarterly Cancer Committee. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Associate degree in medical technician, medical field, or related discipline, or the level of knowledge, statistical understanding, writing skills and comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- National Registrars Association certification
- Prefer member of the National Cancer Registrars Association
Essential Job Duties:
Maintains and ensures that all patient documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
Provides coordination of all aspects of the cancer registry operations and cancer program activities abide by the American College of Surgeons Standards.
Provides reports and data to the Cancer Committee.
Demonstrate a high level of knowledge, resulting in accurate, precise and appropriate judgment in making decisions.
Provide Cancer Registrar work with a multidisciplinary approach cooperating with other resources (Medical Records, Cancer Committee, Pathology, Cancer Center and etc.).
Provides appropriate Leadership to employees in assigned work unit(s).
