Job Summary
The Feed Mill Manager will oversee the daily operations of the feed mill, ensuring efficient production and quality control. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge and experience in food processing.
5 years of feed mill experience.
Bachelors Degree preferred in a related Agriculture Business or equivalent management experience.
Must have a valid driver s license and have a good driving record in accordance with Tyson Fleet Safety Manual.
Duties
- Manage all aspects of feed production, including ingredient handling, mixing, and packaging
- Supervise mill staff and coordinate production schedules
- Maintain equipment through regular inspections and repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Develop and implement procedures to optimize production efficiency
Requirements
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Experience in food processing or related industry
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and tanker trucks
- Commercial driving experience is a plus
- Familiarity with farm operations and feed production processes
- Proficiency in fabricating or repairing machinery is advantageous
