Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and home care environments. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients while assisting with their daily activities and healthcare needs.
Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Provide support for patients in critical care settings and assist with mobility needs.
- Help with the administration of medications as directed by nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient care.
- Assist in the transport of patients to various departments within the facility.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times, especially in hospice care settings.
- Document patient care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or similar role in a hospital or nursing home setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of physiology and basic medical terminology is essential.
- Experience working with geriatric populations is a plus.
- Familiarity with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or inpatient facilities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Pay: $23.90 - $25.00 per hour
