Business Analyst

Work Location : Hybrid Baltimore, MD

The Sr. Business Analyst will be responsible for developing and analyzing business requirements, system and application data, and supporting OSMs cybersecurity project planning and execution program and related initiatives which may include, but are not limited to, the following responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Provides critical analysis to statewide system and application inventory collection

2. Develops and analyzes solution and system requirements ; verifies requirements meets the outlined standards

3. Categorized and prioritizes data and other project requirements

4. Supports risk and impact assessments.

5. Contributes to the development of metrics and trend reporting

6. Supports the development of scope statements, project objectives, and process documentation, including charts and diagrams.

7. Supports the evaluation of solutions, technologies, and services for the organization's needs.

8. Ensures compliance with the State’s security standards, policies, and guidance.

9. Provide support for legislative requirements and reporting as needed.

Required Experience

1. or an additional two (2) years’ experience in substitution of a degree.

2. Developing business requirements for IT solutions and projects and evaluating IT technologies and tools.

3. Ability to analyze a large amount of data, documentation, and report development.

4. Experience with project management methodology and skills.

Preferred Experience

1. Experience facilitating, documenting, and managing requirements for IT asset management systems.

2. Cybersecurity requirements, development, and solution experience.

3. Cybersecurity related certifications.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

• Baltimore, MD 21209: Relocate before starting work (Required)
