Job Summary
The Supply Technician plays a crucial role in managing and coordinating the supply chain activities within the organization. This position involves overseeing logistics, production planning, procurement, and inventory control to ensure seamless operations.
Duties
- Utilize SAP or similar systems to monitor and manage inventory levels
- Coordinate with various departments to facilitate the procurement of materials
- Support production planning by ensuring timely availability of supplies
- Collaborate with suppliers to procure materials and negotiate pricing
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste
- Fabricate or assemble materials as needed to support production demands
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of inventory transactions
- Contribute to plant management by ensuring efficient supply chain operations
Qualifications
- Proficiency in SAP or other supply chain management systems
- Knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) processes
- Experience in logistics, procurement, or supply chain management
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
