This role, reporting directly to the Manager of Global Supply Chain, offers an exciting opportunity to lead material flow optimization and drive improvements across our distribution centers and manufacturing plants worldwide. With a focus on inventory management, cost containment, and ensuring on-time delivery, you’ll play a critical role in helping us achieve our exceptional product delivery goals.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field and/or at least 5 years of progressive experience in materials management and sourcing within a design and manufacturing environment.
- APICS certification preferred.
- Experience in total quality, six sigma, or other similar environments.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) used in a manufacturing environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Willingness to travel as required.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and execute a fully integrated planning process that connects forecast demand, inventory, material and associated cost elements including, but not limited to; Just-in-time inventory, Reorder points, Safety stock, ABC Analysis, Usage Frequency.
- Establish and implement methods and best practices related to the systems and process that support inventory forecasting and purchasing.
- Establishes and supervises monitoring material inventories, tracking progress of supply chain performance and reviewing factors that affect schedules.
- Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with suppliers to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Oversee key supplier contracts to ensure mutually beneficial partnerships that align with our product delivery strategy
- Coordinate and work with quality and assembly operations to ensure on-time delivery by establishing and monitoring schedule to proactively identify and address any issues.
- Implement and manage robust inventory control systems alongside Finance, ensuring accurate counts and identifying discrepancies proactively
- Achieves financial objectives by collaborating with management to prepare and manage the materials budget, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Participates in MRB and CAR meetings to resolve quality issues working with both internal and external resources.
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate tactical supply chain activities.
- Develop, implement, and refine purchasing and inventory policies, procedures, and KPIs to enhance overall supply chain performance.
- Maintain a safe, healthy work environment and ensure alignment of company policies with local, state, and federal regulations
- Adhere to established company policies, procedures, terms and conditions and legal matters that affect purchasing policies.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
