Sales Associate – Job overview:
Provide proactive sales assistance, excellent customer service, and problem resolution to customers. Provide product knowledge, recommendations, and advice to customers with questions and/or project needs. Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions. Other duties as assigned. Prior retail sales and/or DIY experience preferred but not required. Must be customer service oriented with excellent communication skills, honesty and courtesy.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries, product selection, and purchases.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring products are properly displayed and stocked.
- Utilize effective sales techniques to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Stay up-to-date with product knowledge to provide accurate information to customers.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain a tidy sales floor.
- Previous experience in technical sales, jewelry sales, or electronics sales is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of computer systems and point-of-sale software.
