Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Commercial Real Estate and/or Estate Planning Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law, with the ability to navigate complex transactions and provide sound legal advice to clients. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Duties
- Provide legal counsel on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to real estate transactions.
- Conduct due diligence investigations and prepare reports on findings for clients.
- Advise clients on compliance with local, state, and federal regulations impacting real estate transactions.
- Collaborate with other attorneys on matters involving family law, environmental law, personal injury law, securities law, and tribal law regulations as needed.
- Utilize legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis to support case preparation and client advisement.
- Maintain organized legal files and documentation in accordance with legal administrative standards.
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in commercial real estate law or a related field.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations affecting commercial properties.
- Strong research skills using platforms like Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
