Executive Assistant of Academics
Job Duties
The Executive Assistant is responsible for the management of effective operations of the Office of Academics, which encompasses five academic divisions: Science, Engineering & Math (SEM), Arts, Digital Media & Communications (ADMC), Humanities, Social and Behavioral Sciences (HSBS), Health, Education & Public Services (HEP), and Academic Support & Effectiveness (ASE). The Executive Assistant is also responsible for coordination and supervision of the instructional component database and serves in lead capacity for the academic division administrative assistants, and serves as recording secretary for Deans Council. The Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Academics provides support to the President upon request. The Executive Assistant is responsible for the hiring, training, and supervision of student worker(s) for the VPA office.

I. Must possess good leadership and organizational skills.
J. Must possess strong accounting skills.
K. Must be proficient in dictation and transcription.
L. Must be loyal, pleasant, and maintain a good working relationship with all college personnel, Board of Trustees, and community members.
M. Must be able to maintain composure to work under pressure of deadlines.
N. Must possess knowledge of college policies and procedures.

Required experience
Minimum of two years administrative experience in an educational setting preferred.
Required educational background
Associate’s degree required;
