HUMAN RESOURCES/BENEFIT SPECIALIST
POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Butler County Community College (BC3) is currently accepting applications for the position of Human Resources/Benefit Specialist. This is a regular full-time position that will begin immediately.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Human Resources/Equal Opportunity Compliance Officer, the Human Resources/Benefits Specialist is responsible for providing administrative support for the Human Resources Office and Payroll Services operations. Assist with labor and legal relations, benefit administration, ADA, FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, and Workers’ Compensation benefits and compliance, and personnel records. Maintain confidentiality and integrity of the Human Resources and Payroll Services records. Accomplish departmental goals through detailed organizational skills, process improvement initiative, and team-oriented effort. Associate Degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field preferred. Two year experience in human resources required. Experience in benefit administration required. Strong organizational and computer skills required, with heavy emphasis in Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience in benefit administration, databases, spreadsheets, recordkeeping, office administration, and Internet usage required. Experience with ADP Workforce Now software preferred. Knowledgeable in commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures relating to human resources, and payroll preferred.
