POSITION: Assistant Payroll Specialist
STARTING DATE: As soon as possible
SALARY: $45,000-$60,000
WORK YEAR: Full Time - 260 days

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The assistant payroll specialist will share in the management of the payroll
process and benefits administration as well as assist the Treasurer in the general
management of the district's accounting programs following state and board
policy. The position requires excellent time management, analytical skills and
computer skills. Knowledge and experience in State Software, Redesign, is
preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting preferred or high school
diploma required with equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated abilities to perform duties of the Treasure's office.
- Knowledge of accounting principles.
- Willingness to work as a team member.
- Computer expertise in Microsoft Office and databases.
- Organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license and access to personal vehicle.
- History of good job attendance.
- Must pass criminal background check and be free from communicable
disease.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary and work year as established by the Governing Board. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non - prescribed controlled substance use in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
