This Department Head classification functions under administrative direction from the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and Board of Supervisors. This Director is accountable for accomplishing departmental planning, operational goals and for furthering County goals within policy guidelines. Child Support's 2024-2025 operational budget for the department is approximately $9.5 million dollars. The department is staffed with approximately 85 employees which consists of professional, para-professional and clerical staff. The department has over 8,400 active cases providing services for more than 10,000 children. Coordinates Departmental activities with the State Department of Child Support Services and other government agencies for the development, implementation, and maintenances of a statewide automated case management and tracking system.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public or Business Administration, Accounting, Behavioral Sciences, or a related field; and
Five (5) years professional administrative management experience in a social services agency, including three (3) years of supervisory experience. Knowledge of federal funding requirements highly desired.
