What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Director position at Butte Emergency Food Bank?
Oversee the operation of the Food Bank, including volunteer activities and record maintenance.
Maintain computerized records on a daily basis: Donors/Expenses/Income/Bills Paid/Financial accounts/Names and data of current volunteers.
Report regularly to the Food Bank Board of Directors about present stock, incoming and distribution of food, income and expenses and answer questioins posed by the board.
Participate in meetings relating to the Food Bank and to the care of the poor in our community.
Maintain public relations with the community and the press.
Consult with others to obtain the best prices on food purchases.
Awareness/involvement of and with federal/state legislation that my impact the Food Bank.
Representation of the Food Bank regarding potential legislation.
Write grant proposals to improve the facility and equipment.
Approve expenses, enter bills into Quickbooks and prepare checks for payment. Require two signatures per check for review
Organize the volunteers at the warehouse for both major food drives and other extraordinary events/ activities.
Order food and supplies for both food drives and other events.
Send thank you notes for all monetary and memorial donations.
Keep vehicle licensed and operable.
Arrange for payroll.
Recruit appropriate volunteers and arrange for their duties and training.
Report to the Board on calendar for upcoming month, preparation for major events, and progress on goals set mutually at teach January meeting.
Report regularly to the Board on details of daily operation important for their consideration and/or decision-making.
Perform other duties as approved by the Board of Directors.

Pay: $36,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
