SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE:
Alliance Fence & Supply is looking for a Purchasing/ Inventory Manager to join our local team in Provo, Utah. This person will ensure the success of fencing projects through effective purchasing and inventory management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Position may include additional functions not listed.)*
- Forecasts inventory needs based on business trends, purchases and manages inventory levels, and purchases equipment and special-order items.
- Negotiates appropriate terms with vendors, resolves vendor product issues, and nurtures effective vendor relationships.
- Acts as Sage 100 Software superuser and creates POs, posts receipt of goods, processes inventory transfers and adjustments as needed.
- Coordinates receiving of materials.
- Oversees annual inventory count.
- Assists with yard oversight and layout.
- Collaborates with sales management on pricing and ensures company profitability.
- Proposes strategies to reduce costs and manages supply chain logistics.
QUALIFICATIONS: (Required knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, etc.)
- A minimum of 5 years experience in Inventory Management or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- An analytical mind with strong math skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
PHYSICAL & OTHER REQUIREMENTS: (physical, environmental, travel, etc.)
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Combination of office setting, production floor, and on occasion job sites
- Availability to work additional hours or weekends as projects demand
- Occasional travel may be required
