We are seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Lead the estimating team in preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to develop comprehensive estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to enhance accuracy and efficiency in the estimating process.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms for the company.
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle, implementing cost control measures as needed.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimators, fostering professional development within the team.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques to ensure competitive pricing strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field, with a focus on project management.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methodologies.
- Proficiency in using estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is preferred.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost assessments.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality work standards.
- Familiarity with construction contracts and legal requirements is advantageous.
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
