Summary/Objective:
The Dough Mixer is responsible for working on the dough production team to produce cookie dough. This position will follow strict standards, maintain clean working stations, and occasionally supporting in the front with customers when needed. This position is versatile and may require operating the Point-of-Sale (POS) system and providing excellent customer service.
Salary Grade:
$18 - $20 per hour tips
Essential Functions:
- Prepare dough by accurately following instructions under guidance of the Dough Production Lead to produce consistent, high quality cookies according to Butter Pecan Bakeshop's standards & guidelines.
- Read and understand written instructions.
- Accurately weigh, measure and combine ingredients.
- Operate commercial bakery equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, scales, ovens, blenders, and dishwashing tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment, ensuring sanitation and safety guidelines are met.
- Maintain quality food handling standards by practicing proper food preparation, including proper handling of food to avoid cross contamination.
- Ensure all food items are stored in correct refrigeration or dry goods compartments and are covered, labeled and dated accurately.
- Follow quality assurance processes to ensure that dough is prepared accurately and that cookies are baked correctly.
- Keep records relating to deliveries, inventory, and production levels.
- Clean and restock workstations with baking ingredients and ensure that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
- Assist with tracking inventory of ingredients, and supplies to maintain par levels.
- Properly fill out daily production sheets, inventory sheets, and record waste.
- Assist in the production of special orders.
- Safeguard proprietary baking methods, recipes, and processes per legally binding non-disclosure/confidentiality agreement.
- Preserve an open level of communication and cooperation with all Kitchen and Crew staff, including the availability to provide counter assistance when necessary.
- Provide customers with excellent service, including operating the POS system and preparing orders when needed.
Other Responsibilities:
- Assist other team members in achieving the goals of the Dough Production Department and the store.
- Adhere to all Butter Pecan Bakeshop safety policies as outlined by management.
- Maintain a clean and neat appearance in compliance with the Dress Code policy.
- Provide customers with excellent service, including operating the POS system and preparing orders.

Work Environment:
Indoor commercial kitchen, subjected to heat from ovens and cold from refrigerators. Front desk may require interaction with customers and operation of computer systems.
Physical Demands:
This role involves long periods of standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The position also requires manual dexterity to operate kitchen tools and POS systems.

Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of kitchen experience.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Valid California Food Handler Certification
- References required.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Food production/kitchen experience
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older.
