We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to lead a shipping team in the timely and accurate fulfillment of orders within a food production environment. The Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for managing daily shipping operations, optimizing team performance, and ensuring compliance with food safety guidelines. The ideal candidate will be actively involved in ensuring the safety of both food products and personnel, while adhering to company standards.
- Lead and manage the shipping team, ensuring efficient and accurate shipping operations.
- Provide training, coaching, and ongoing support to team members to ensure a high level of performance and safety.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and accountability.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and food safety regulations.
- Perform daily huddles to communicate and solicit feedback from the team.
High School diploma or equivalent; associate degree, supply chain management, or in lieu of this a minimum of 5 years of experience in shipping coordination, preferably in the food industry or a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of food safety regulations, including FSMA, GMP, and HACCP preferred.
Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently.
