Buxmont Academy in Pottstown, PA, is looking for a dynamic Health & PE Teacher to join our team. This part-time position offers an hourly rate of $25, with work hours on Thursdays and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Additional hours (and potentially full-time) may be available. We offer a range of benefits including a 401(k) retirement plan, free professional development (ACT 48 Credit eligible), an Employee Assistance Program, and the opportunity to earn a free graduate certificate in restorative practices from the IIRP Graduate School. There are no evening or weekend hours required, and school hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Buxmont Academy has six campuses across southeastern Pennsylvania and is dedicated to helping students grades 7 through 12 grow both academically and emotionally through restorative practices. With small class sizes and a high teacher-to-student ratio, our staff works closely as a team to support each student's success.
Who We're Looking For:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in health & PE education or similar field, and either PA teaching certification or the ability to obtain it.
- Passion for teaching secondary school students and the ability to adapt to their unique developmental needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism in high-stress situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with computers and technology.
