Key Responsibilities:
- Teach secondary level mathematics, focusing on making complex concepts clear and accessible.
- Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth and confidence.
- Utilize restorative practices to engage and inspire students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support students' academic and emotional development.
Position Details:
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (with potential for full-time if desired).
- Compensation: $25 per hour.
- Benefits: 401K retirement plan, free ACT 48 professional development offerings, Employee Assistance Program, and a unique opportunity to earn a free graduate certificate in restorative practices from the IIRP Graduate School.
Who We're Looking For:
- A bachelor's degree or higher in Math Education (or related field).
- Teaching certification or the ability to obtain certification (we also welcome retired teachers looking to return to the classroom).
- A genuine passion for teaching and working with secondary school students.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
