This position is remote and based around East Coast working hours. We are unable to offer work sponsorship for this role.
The QA Engineer will actively engage with Product Owners and the Development team around building out the functionality of our fintech back-office restaurant accounting software module that offers food cost management, payroll, plus much more.
Your impact:
- Execute test plans to ensure control functions and data meet requirements
- Increase efficiency by leveraging automation in the test tool infrastructure
- Authors and Executes SQL scripts to verify data accuracy and generate data to support use cases
- Provides defect management via iterative cycles with development team
- Engage in meetings to review product enhancements and new product development. Assisting in identifying potential downstream logic problems
- Identifies test scope, test risks, and test methodology approaches for large projects
About you:
- 3 years of Quality Assurance experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Prior experience working in an Agile environment
- Experience in test planning and creating manual and automated test suites, using engineering tools and software packages to test, design, and evaluate products and processes
- Experience with an accounting software solution project preferred
- Experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role preferred
- Proficiency in data-driven analysis
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to work in a fully remote environment
- Working knowledge of programming and programming languages
- Python preferred
- Familiarity with Selenium or similar test automation tools is a plus
