Fresh Services, an internal Buyers Edge Platform brand resource, is the operational arm of the Fresh Division as a whole. Our team provides food safety and quality assurance, cutting-edge technology solutions, central billing services, a produce support team, marketing innovation and a full implementation and pricing team. By providing full-service support in these essential areas, Fresh Services empowers our clients to navigate the complexities of the foodservice industry with confidence, efficiency, and a commitment to excellence.
This is a hybrid role based out of our Bannockburn, IL office. We are unable to provide sponsorship for work authorization for this role.
The Central Billing Specialist will work as part of the central billing team to process and monitor incoming invoices and credits. They will develop an in-depth knowledge of Produce Alliance's central billing systems and processes to perform critical job functions to support billing objectives.
Your impact:
- Monitor and process incoming invoices and credits from distributors
- Perform day to day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data
- Verify discrepancies and resolve clients' billing issues
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
- Reconciling and issuing payments
About you:
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Strong Excel Skills Preferred)
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment and prioritize multiple task
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong organizational skills
- 1-2 years experience in accounting related position preferred, but not required
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
