BVA Bears IT Solutions is seeking a Junior Agile Quality Assurance Analyst. This is a full-time, remote role with travel to other Government or Contractor facilities as required. The average workday is 8 hours and the window in which those 8 hours may be scheduled is between 6:00am hours and 6:00pm hours eastern time, Monday through Friday except for Government Holidays with the core hours (9am to 3pm) being covered.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborating with Teams:
- Work closely with senior QA analysts, developers, and product owners to understand user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning and daily standups, to stay aligned with the team’s goals.
Test Planning and Design:
- Assist in creating test plans and test cases under the guidance of senior team members.
- Help identify key scenarios and edge cases based on requirements.
Test Execution:
- Perform manual testing of web and software applications to validate functionality and identify defects.
- Learn and assist with test automation tools to support automated testing efforts.
Defect Identification and Reporting:
- Log and track defects using tools like Jira, providing clear descriptions and steps to reproduce issues.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand and resolve issues.
Continuous Learning and Improvement:
- Actively participate in team retrospectives and training sessions to develop QA and Agile skills.
- Take feedback from senior team members to enhance testing techniques and processes.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred), OR equivalent experience, including internships or relevant projects, is acceptable.
- 0–2 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing.
- Basic understanding of Agile development processes.
- Familiarity with testing/tracking tools and bug reporting (e.g., Jira, Trello, Selenium, or Cypress) is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to learn test automation and other technical skills.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
