BVA Bears IT Solutions is seeking a Junior Application Developer, Advanced Technology. This is a full-time, remote role with travel to other Government or Contractor facilities as required. The average workday is 8 hours and the window in which those 8 hours may be scheduled is between 6:00am hours and 6:00pm hours eastern time, Monday through Friday except for Government Holidays with the core hours (9am to 3pm) being covered.
As a Junior Application Developer, Advanced Technology, your responsible for translating application requirements into web-based solutions and implementing emerging technologies within the software development process. This role supports the Government's mission by delivering reliable and efficient software applications, using modern internet protocols and advanced technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement web-based solutions based on application requirements.
- Integrate emerging technologies into the software development process to enhance application efficiency.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment with system architecture and operational requirements.
- Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and improving the functionality of web applications.
- Comply with all relevant regulations, including export control requirements for U.S. persons.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field; OR three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related discipline.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in at least two of the following areas: systems analysis, systems programming, application programming, and/or equipment analysis.
- At least one (1) year of experience in developing applications using advanced technologies such as HTML, CGI applications, PERL, JavaScript, and Java.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in government or government-contracted environments.
- Knowledge of federal standards and compliance requirements in software development.
