BVA Bears IT Solutions is seeking a Senior Application Developer, Advanced Technology. This is a full-time, remote role with travel to other Government or Contractor facilities as required. The average workday is 8 hours and the window in which those 8 hours may be scheduled is between 6:00am hours and 6:00pm hours eastern time, Monday through Friday except for Government Holidays with the core hours (9am to 3pm) being covered.
As a Senior Application Developer, Advanced Technology, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing web-based solutions to meet application requirements using the latest technologies. This role contributes to critical government projects by integrating advanced software techniques and technologies, ensuring that applications are efficient, reliable, and secure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of web-based applications to meet client needs.
- Leverage emerging technologies in the software development process, particularly in the areas of internet protocols and web-based systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, develop timelines, and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization of applications to ensure maximum performance and functionality.
- Ensure all software development adheres to federal and agency-specific regulations, including those governing security and compliance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline; OR five (5) years of equivalent experience in a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of computer experience in at least two of the following areas: system analysis, system programming, application programming, and/or equipment analysis.
- At least one (1) year of experience developing applications using advanced technologies such as HTML, CGI applications, PERL, JavaScript, and Java.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- Experience working with federal agencies or in government-contracted environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in implementing software solutions within secure and regulated environments.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage projects and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
U.S. Citizenship Requirement:
