BVA Bears IT Solutions is seeking a Financial Systems Analyst. This is a full-time, remote role with travel to other Government or Contractor facilities as required. The average workday is 8 hours and the window in which those 8 hours may be scheduled is between 6:00am hours and 6:00pm hours eastern time, Monday through Friday except for Government Holidays with the core hours (9am to 3pm) being covered.
As a Financial Systems Analyst at BVA Bear's IT Solutions you will play a key role in validating the accuracy of financial data post-migration in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365). This role ensures compliance with Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) requirements and Commonwealth financial reporting standards. The analyst will work extensively with Power BI Premium, Dynamics 365 Financial Reporter, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to analyze, validate, and optimize financial data and reporting structures.

As a Financial Systems Analyst at BVA Bear's IT Solutions you will play a key role in validating the accuracy of financial data post-migration in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365). This role ensures compliance with Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) requirements and Commonwealth financial reporting standards. The analyst will work extensively with Power BI Premium, Dynamics 365 Financial Reporter, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) to analyze, validate, and optimize financial data and reporting structures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Validate the accuracy and completeness of financial data post-migration in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Ensure compliance with GASB and Commonwealth financial reporting standards.
- Utilize Power BI Premium, Dynamics 365 Financial Reporter, and SSRS to analyze financial data and generate reports.
- Monitor financial data integrity and perform reconciliation between legacy systems and Dynamics 365.
- Work closely with finance and IT teams to ensure proper financial data mapping and reporting structures.
- Assist in developing financial reporting solutions to improve business intelligence and operational decision-making.
- Troubleshoot financial data discrepancies and coordinate with technical teams for resolution.
- Support audit processes by providing accurate financial data and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in Agile sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospective meetings to align with project goals.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to financial reporting structures, data validation processes, and compliance procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience with financial systems, data validation, and reconciliation.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 financial modules.
- Proficiency in Power BI Premium, Dynamics 365 Financial Reporter, and SSRS.
- Familiarity with GASB and Commonwealth financial reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and improve financial data accuracy.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with finance, IT, and cross-functional Agile teams.
- Excellent communication skills to present financial insights and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on compliance and financial data integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Power Automate and Power Apps for financial process enhancements.
- Understanding of financial data structures, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Agile certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, SAFe Practitioner) is a plus.
