The approximate pay range for this position is $130k-$175k. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. What You’ll Do
As a Senior Controls Engineer – Data Center, you will lead the development and deployment of cutting-edge automation systems, focusing on SCADA and control systems for mission-critical data center environments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing automation solutions, including design specifications, software configuration, testing, startup and commissioning of data center EPMS and BMS facility support systems.
- Designing automation control systems, creating technical documentation, and ensuring compliance with client and industry standards.
- Diagnosing and resolving complex automation problems.
- Programming PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Rockwell), DDCs (e.g., Distech, Niagara) and SCADA systems (e.g., Ignition, FactoryTalk).
- Managing project deliverables, timelines, and budgets while coordinating with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Supporting system start-ups, site installations, and integration activities.
- A proven track record in control systems engineering, with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in system integration work in mission-critical data center environments.
- Expertise in designing and implementing PLC, DDC, SCADA, and other related control systems in the context of BMS and EPMS systems.
- Knowledge of industrial control panel design (UL508A), instrumentation and controls, and engineering documentation such as P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and SOO development.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar (preferred).
- Willingness to travel for project needs, training, and industry events.
