Job Summary
BW James is seeking a creative, organized and fun Marketing & Social Media Coordinator with a talent for storytelling. The Marketing & Social Media Coordinator will work closely with the Marketing Director & the BW James team to plan, develop and execute content that authentically represents our brand, values and family story. In this role, you may also assist with marketing strategy, campaign management, branding and photo shoots to ensure consistent engagement across all platforms. Your contributions will play a key role in building our brand presence and strengthening our connection with the community.
Essential Functions
Strategy & Brand Development
- Actively represent the BW James brand across multiple social media platforms, creating engaging content that aligns with the brand image. Essentially becoming the public persona of the brand on social media by creating a personable presence to viewers which requires comfort and confidence in front of the camera, with strong presentation skills.
- Stay informed about social media trends, algorithm changes, social media best practices and platform updates to keep content relevant.
- Collaborate frequently with the Marketing Director to strategize content ideas, campaigns and initiatives that resonate with our audience and coordinate with current happenings.
Content Creation & Editing
- Record, edit and produce high- quality and captivating video & photo content from the calendar.
- Ensure all content aligns with the BW James voice, tone and aesthetic.
- Create eye catching visuals & engaging captions that inspire interaction and growth.
- Double check all content before delivery to ensure error free delivery and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Work with team members to organize & execute marketing projects including coordinating team participation in content creation.
Posting & Scheduling
- Manage the scheduling of content across all major platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.
- Manage platform-specific engagement, including responding to DMs, comments and fostering community interaction in a timely manner.
Organization & Coordination
- Deliver a comprehensive content calendar to plan and coordinate content around upcoming projects, promotions, and key dates.
- Ensure all deliverables are met on time.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Director to carry out marketing campaign ideas.
Marketing Coordination
- Create branding materials such as website banners, postcards, etc. when needed.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Director to execute and assist with community and marketing events.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Director to conduct marketing research and brainstorm campaign ideas.
- Work with other departments to organize & execute marketing projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2 years of hands-on experience in social media strategy, content creation and management.
- Experience with photography.
- Skills: proficient in content editing tools (E.g.: Canva, InShot, CapCut, Lightroom).
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends and analytics tools.
- Exceptional storytelling skills with a detailed and creative eye for visual & written content.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing concepts and advertising strategies.
- Capable of collaborating closely with a remote-based supervisor to achieve goals.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a small team.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
