Maintenance Reliability Engineer - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Barberton, Ohio

Maintenance Reliability Engineer - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Barberton, Ohio
Responsibilities
- Acquires and analyzes data.
- Prepares diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations and reports to define reliability problems and make recommendations for improvements.
- Prepares preventative maintenance plans for new equipment.
- Evaluates effectiveness of existing preventative maintenance plans and makes changes to these plans to increase machine reliability.
- Provide root cause analysis for determination of failures and recommendations to eliminate or reduce future failures.
- Coordinates and supervises the use of technicians and vendors to accomplish cost-effective reliability improvements.
- Attends meetings and provide presentations.
- Develop and or update procedures as necessary to support reliability activities.
- Coordinate with facilities engineers and maintenance personnel during the installation of new equipment or equipment upgrades to verify reliability and adherence to machine life cycle asset management process.
- Provides input to a Risk Management Plan that will anticipate reliability-related, and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operation.
- Interfaces with internal and external customers and suppliers. Including but not limited to operations, manufacturing engineers, facilities engineers, and maintenance personnel.
- Individual and team involvement in equipment reliability projects such as maintenance reliability software implementation, wireless data systems, thermographic analysis, and other technologies that improve machine and equipment reliability.
- BS in Engineering and a minimum of 2 years experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience with SAP is desired.
- CMRP certification is a plus.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Strong written and communications skills.
- Ideal candidates will also be proficient in Six Sigma Methodolgy, Root Cause Analysis, Reliability Modeling and Prediction, and Statistical Process Analysis.
