Morton Salt's Rittman, OH location has an immediate opening for a Maintenance & Reliability Manager.
Responsible for Maintenance & Reliability activities at Rittman plant. Develops the Plant Reliability goals and strategy, with heavy focus on effectively influencing employees across departments, crafts and disciplines to achieve reliability goals and objectives. Develops and leads initiatives focused on building a reliability-based culture.
Accountabilities
- Accountable for Providing Leadership in Support of the Company’s Zero Harm Goal of Achieving an Injury-Free Workplace.
- Accountable for Continuous Improvement in Workplace Safety by Promptly Addressing the Root Causes of OIIs or Near Misses, Conducting Effective Safety Meetings, Promptly Addressing Safety Concerns Raised by Employees, and Leading by Example.
- Accountable for EHS Compliance, Quality Policies and Procedures compliance including FSP principles as applicable, and Environment Policies, Programs and Good Manufacturing Practices and maintains required records for all of these areas. Is familiar with the plants’ FSP program and how it applies to his/her job. Maintains records as required. Is trained and reviews/understands the plant's critical control points of scalping catches, magnet catches, Understands the importance of the FSP program as it pertains to the quality, legality and safety of products. Is instrumental in the documentation of equipment repair/inspection and isolation of downstream equipment to minimize contamination.
Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with corporate standards (e.g., financial, code of business conduct) and adherence to company policies.
- Responsible for Buildings and Grounds activities.
- Managing contractors as necessary.
- Makes reliability recommendations to Process and Reliability Engineers based on data analysis.
- Responsible for People Development, Training, and Competencies.
- Implements critical care plans (PMs, Predictive, critical equipment).
- Creates and participates in reliability improvement initiatives providing guidance to the Maintenance personnel.
- Ensures effective equipment troubleshooting, including root causes identification and action plan implementation.
- Manages maintenance project portfolio.
- Oversees PDM work.
- Reports and explains budget variances.
- Performs recruiting and staffing activities, as needed.
- Facilitates performance management and employee development.
- Completes compliance requirements, including compliance matrix, and other training for position, as required.
- Performs other related duties, as required.
- Manages employee and labor relations matters in conjunction with Human Resources, as appropriate.
- Ensures systems and processes are in place to maintain smooth operations during employee absences and staffing changes.
