Job Description
This key role is responsible for leading and managing projects by guiding cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions that enhance our operations, support decision-making, and drive innovation. The projects facilitated by the Strategic Initiatives Group support operations-based Cost/Span/Technology ‘MoVE’ projects driving both near-term schedule recovery and longer-term production effectiveness. The group works closely with senior site leadership to develop new and creative ways to improve KPIs that support the business need.

The Project Manager will work a 9/80 work week while receiving market leading pay, paid time off and paid holidays; medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options; parental leave; and service-based retirement contributions with additional 401k match.

The base salary range for this position in Indiana (US-IN) at the start of employment is expected to be between $97,000 and $130,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. - Recognizes opportunities for operational/process improvement and develops ‘MoVE’ projects to address through new technologies, data driven solutions, and collaboration
- Requires in-depth understanding of concepts, theories and principles in manufacturing engineering and basic knowledge of shop floor front line management and other disciplines
- Uses project management tools to ensure strategic and timely completion of improvement projects
- Identifies and resolves technical, operational and organizational problems that impact effectiveness
- Applies understanding of the industry to improve effectiveness, provide guidance and influence processes and policies
- Impacts the level of service and the team’s ability to meet quality and timeliness objectives
- Develops relationships and works cohesively with any department or stakeholder appropriate to the project
- Lead teams and facilitate Cost/Span/Technology projects from initiation to completion
- Define project scope and deliverables
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, roadmaps, and budgets
- Manage project teams, assigning tasks, tracking progress, and identifying potential risks to mitigate issues proactively
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, quality, planning, etc. to ensure project alignment
- Monitor project performance against established KPIs, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions
- Conduct regular project status updates with stakeholders, communicating progress and addressing concerns
- Present project status to peers and leadership by organizing presentation materials in a clear and concise manner
- Prior experience with manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering or shop floor supervision desired.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with developing, delivering, and maintaining training activities.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is required.
