Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing skills and a passion for securing funding to support our organization's mission. This role involves researching funding opportunities, crafting compelling proposals, and managing grant applications from inception to submission. The Grant Writer will collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information and ensure that all proposals meet the required guidelines.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities that align with the organization’s goals.
  • Write, edit, and proofread grant proposals, ensuring clarity, coherence, and adherence to guidelines.
  • Develop budgets and financial plans for grant proposals in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Manage the entire grant application process, including tracking deadlines and submission requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of submitted proposals and their outcomes in databases.
  • Collaborate with program development teams to gather necessary data and insights for proposal writing.
  • Review and edit proposals submitted by other team members to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Stay updated on best practices in grant writing and funding trends within the industry.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in grant writing or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong skills in proposal writing, editing, and proofreading are essential.
  • Familiarity with budgeting processes related to grant applications is a plus.
  • Experience in contract management is beneficial but not required.
  • Proficiency in research methodologies to identify funding sources effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of program development principles is advantageous.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
