What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapist position at By the Bay Health?
We are currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services to patients and follows established policies and procedures to evaluate and treat a caseload of patients with impaired functional ability in their place of residence. This position covers the Marin County area and Sonoma County as needed.
By the Bay Health follows all CDPH vaccine requirements for healthcare personnel.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Evaluates adult, and geriatric patients. Interprets findings to determine the nature and extent of dysfunction.
- Collaborates with physician, patient, and team members to establish, implement, and evaluate a plan of care including goals and periodically revises patient’s treatment/ care plan.
- Obtains required physician orders for all care provided. Provides comprehensive ongoing assessment of the patient and the patient’s equipment needs.
- Counsel patient/caregiver in meeting patient’s needs and goals. Notifies the patient’s attending physician and other appropriate healthcare professionals and staff members of significant changes in the patient’s condition in a timely manner.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in occupational therapy or equivalent; Master's Degree preferred.
- One year's experience in a health care setting preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Current California license in Occupational Therapy.
- Current California Driver’s License and automobile insurance that meets State of California requirements, if driving a car.
- BLS required.
Pay Range:
$53.00 - $67.00 hourly
