Position Overview :
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet high-quality standards throughout the production process. You will perform inspections, tests, and data analysis to identify and resolve quality issues, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the production process.
Essential Functions :
- Inspection & Testing :
Perform inspections on materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet established specifications. Utilize a variety of measuring instruments and test equipment.
Record inspection data, track product quality, and generate detailed reports. Ensure accurate and up-to-date records are maintained for quality control purposes.
Support the development and implementation of quality control processes. Ensure that all products and materials comply with company and regulatory standards.
Identify defects or quality issues during the inspection process. Collaborate with production teams to address and resolve problems promptly.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and optimize production processes. Provide feedback and suggestions for improvements to management.
This position requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in various production environments. May occasionally need to lift and carry materials or equipment.
Qualifications :
Previous experience in a quality control or quality assurance role is preferred. Experience with inspection tools and testing equipment is a plus.
Strong ability to identify defects, inconsistencies, and deviations from product specifications.
Proficient in the use of measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.) and basic computer software (MS Office, quality management systems).
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues efficiently and effectively.
Capable of performing physical tasks and handling materials as needed throughout the workday. Frequent lifting and / or moving of items over 50 pounds.
