Office Coordinator answers the phone, greets patients, collects and post payments, makes appointments, copies and files medical records and information as needed. Knowledgeable of contracted insurance plans and procedures. Assigns accurate codes for each diagnosis and procedure using appropriate coding references CPT and ICD codes according to service provided. Screens each patient taking vital signs, history and symptoms prior to doctor entering exam room as needed.
