Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team at Bytes and Brews. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a seamless dining experience. You will manage reservations, greet guests, and ensure they are seated promptly and comfortably. Your exceptional customer service skills will be key in enhancing the overall guest experience and ensuring their satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival with a warm smile and positive demeanor.
• Manage the seating chart to ensure guests are seated promptly and according to their preferences and the restaurant's availability.
• Take reservations over the phone and in-person, ensuring accurate details are recorded.
• Effectively communicate guest needs to kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
• Provide guests with information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism to ensure a positive experience.
• Uphold high standards of hospitality and customer service in accordance with Bytes and Brews policies.
• Work closely with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the front of house.

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills and a focus on guest relations.
• Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or hotel setting.
• Familiarity with the Aloha POS system is a plus but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.
• Excellent communication skills, both with guests and fellow team members.
• Professional phone etiquette and ability to handle reservations efficiently.
• A proactive attitude towards helping guests and addressing their needs.
• Strong organizational skills to manage seating arrangements and reservations in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $7.25 - $12.00 per hour
