What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Manager position at ByVerTek?
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager. The ideal candidate needs to have good knowledge of accounting principles, be an organized professional with a great eye for detail and be reliable and able to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively as a key member of our Finance team.
This position is 100% on-site Monday-Friday in Boca Raton, FL and candidate must be currently located within a reasonable commuting distance. Our office hours are 9 A.M. - 5:30 P.M. daily.
What You'll Do:
- Maintain accurate financial records and adhere to financial policies and procedures
- Process invoices, verify purchase orders and reconcile discrepancies
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors
- Assist with Implementing efficient processes to optimize cash flow
- Analyze and resolve discrepancies with vendors
- Ensure invoices are approved for payment and processed accurately and on time
- Update vendor account information
- Ensure company is following financial regulations
- Maintain organized AP documentation, support records and databases
- Monitor expenses and produce various AP reports
- Reach out to vendors to resolve any payment issues or questions
- Negotiate payment terms
- Process 1099s annually
- Assist with monthly close
- Maintain and update the accounts payable manual
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum 5 years of Accounts Payable experience
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong understanding of bank processes and financial data analysis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Well-organized with ability to prioritize
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Must be punctual and responsible with a good professional attitude
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks
- Strong knowledge with Microsoft Office 365
- Strong Excel skills with emphasis on v-lookup and pivot table functions
- Working experience with Fraxion is desirable
