Responsibilities
- Manage the accounts payable team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
- Oversee the processing of vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain the general ledger accounting for accounts payable transactions.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
- Ensure timely payment of invoices while maintaining positive vendor relationships.
- Prepare reports on accounts payable activities and metrics for management review.
- Utilize financial software such as ADP and Sage for effective management of accounts payable functions.
- Conduct regular audits of accounts payable processes to ensure compliance with internal controls.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounts payable management or a similar role within corporate accounting.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in financial software, including ADP and Sage; experience with other accounting systems is a plus.
- Excellent 10 key typing skills with a high degree of accuracy.
- Familiarity with payroll management processes is desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
