We are a 21-year-old body shop providing the Western Slope of Colorado with quality collision repairs, and we are looking for a ball of fire to MANAGE our body shop in Grand Junction. Located in the prospering Mesa County, it is an incredible place to work, hunt and play!

Responsibilities:

  • Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them.
  • Assists with hiring, training, motivating and monitoring the performance of all body shop employees.
  • Assists with writing estimates & managing work files
  • Assists with preparing and administering an annual operating budget for the body shop.
  • Directing and scheduling the work of all body shop employees.
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with insurance adjusters.
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Implements aggressive marketing plan to increase body shop business.
  • Monitors technicians' daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records.
  • Gives fair estimates on costs and time required for body work.
  • Ordering of parts and supplies.
  • Monitors progress and completion of vehicles in the shop, ensuring that proper repair and safety procedures are followed.
  • Maintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks. Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
  • Checks quality of completed work.
  • Handles customer complaints immediately
  • Monitors paper flow to ensure that all documents are accounted for, filled out completely and legibly and filed or distributed to the appropriate parties.
  • Prepares final billing for completed repair orders.
  • Controls accounts receivables for body repair work.
  • Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc. Provides necessary training.
  • Ensures that proper safety equipment is available and being used properly.
  • Facilitates and/or conducts technical training and sends employees to appropriate training schools as needed.
  • Monitors the maintenance of paint booths, and other large fixed assets to ensure long-term usage and value.
  • Keeps abreast of new equipment and tools available and recommends purchases.
  • Ensures that the work areas and customer waiting area are kept clean.
  • Attends managers meetings.
  • Maintains professional appearance.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and productivity levels
  • Understanding of collision repair and estimate writing
  • CCC One estimating a plus
  • Ability to manage and work independently
  • ICAR preferred & must have min 5 years body shop experience
