Duties:
- Design Automation Systems
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot automated systems and equipment
- Program and configure industrial control systems to perform specific tasks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation needs and develop solutions
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on automation equipment
- Fabricate and assemble components for automation systems
- Trouble-shoot PLC, electrical, mechanical, and robotic problems using schematics, programs, meters, and other hand tools
- Diagnose electrical and electronic problems
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager
- Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production (off shift, weekends, holidays included)
- Revises and updates programs and documentation as required
- Help guide, support, and teach co-workers
- Any other duties deemed necessary or appropriate
Qualifications:
- Experience as an Automation Technician, Industrial Process Technician, or similar role
- Proficiency in CAD software for designing automation systems
- Strong knowledge of control systems including Allen Bradley PLCs, RSLogix, ControlLogix, Wonderware, HMIs, VFDs and Networks
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing automation equipment
- Familiarity with machining processes and mechanical knowledge
- Knowledge of robotics is a plus
