What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Worker position at C and E Julio?
The Utility Worker will travel to various properties to perform tasks such as assisting with extra workload, covering absences and vacations, and supplementing crews and properties to meet unusual changes in the production area or in the weather.
Duties and Responsibilities: (include but not limited to)
- Cleans equipment, maintains a work area free from debris and dirt, and readies or puts away tools as assigned.
- Closely follows directions to operate machinery, hold or supply materials and tools, and load or unload items.
- Conducts daily lawn care and landscaping duties as instructed.
- Complies with company policies, procedures, safety protocols, Fair Housing and other applicable laws and regulations.
- Completes snow removal tasks, including but not limited to, shoveling sidewalks, steps, and doorways as needed during winter months.
- Performs any unskilled job at the property/warehouse.
- Reports any issues to supervisor or higher-level employee.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to operate various types of power equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
- Ability to work in a variety of roles.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at times.
- Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
- Must be able to travel to various properties throughout the company.
