What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Technician position at C & B Operations, LLC?
C & B Operations, LLC is a progressive family-owned company that has grown over 35 years to include thirty-six John Deere dealerships in six states. We currently have an opening for a Servcie Technician at its Ag and Turf dealership located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. A Service Technician independently performs set up as well as repairs and maintenance on small tractors, skid steers, mowers and snow blowers and performs basic assembly as well.
Essential Duties:
- Performs set up as well as repairs and maintenance on small tractors, skid steers, mowers and snow blowers and performs basic assembly as well
- Participates in training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
- Prepares all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
- Accounts for all time on a time card and for all material used in performing assigned duties
- Maintains current product knowledge
- Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
- Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment
- Loads and unloads equipment when requested
- Promotes and sells the service department to customers including service work, inspections, and parts to increase customer safety and satisfaction
- Delivers parts, run errands, etc. as needed
- Follows all safety procedures and guidelines, and works in a safe manner.
Qualifications:
- Diesel Technician experience preferred along with ability to work on CUTS, Skid Steers and mowers
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
- Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling
