Operator
The Utility Operator is the entry level position in the Operator Progression. The Operator is responsible for learning all aspects of the position in the respective department and will work under close supervision to complete tasks, according to specifications, and in a timely manner. As experience levels increase, less supervision will be required. This role could be in the fabrication or finishing areas of the plant. Since this is a heavy industrial environment, there will be exposure to Fabrication and Finishing Shop operations. The employee will be exposed from time to time to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes. The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, Walking, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Reaching, Talking, Seeing, Hearing, Driving and Sitting. When in the Shop Production Area(s), the employee will be required to wear PPE including (steel-toed shoes if conducting any work-related activity), safety glasses and hearing protection where required.

Qualifications and Skills:
Must have experience with and know how to use:
- Measuring equipment such as pie tapes, tape measures, dial indicators, calipers and various gauges.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Industrial Painting experience preferred.
- Hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, pliers, etc.
- Computer skills are a plus as we use a shop software for work orders.
Must have a solid work history that shows commitment to employers and an ability to stay in jobs for multiple years.
